The Pepsi Refresh Project , a 20 mil­lion dol­lar ini­tia­tive founded by Pepsi to fund peo­ple, busi­ness and non-profits with good ideas that have a pos­i­tive impact on local com­mu­ni­ties has pledged an addi­tional $1.3 mil­lion towards a spe­cial edi­tion of the grant geared towards states along the Gulf of Mex­ico. For 4 days, Pepsi is accept­ing up to 1000 sub­mis­sions that ben­e­fit the gulf, the best of which will receive grants in incre­ments of $5,000, $25,000, $50,000 and $250,000 (by pop­u­lar vote). There are some limitation—in other words, this isn’t meant to fund your per­sonal idea to stop the leak
